Microshading Aftercare
🗓️ First 10–14 Days: Healing Phase
✅ DOs:
-
Keep brows dry
Avoid water, sweat, steam, and humidity. Use a damp cotton pad to clean around the area gently. -
Apply ointment (if advised)
Your artist may recommend a healing ointment (like Aquaphor or a tattoo aftercare balm). Apply only a thin layer using clean hands or a cotton swab. -
Blot gently if fluid appears
In the first few hours, you may see lymph fluid. Gently blot with a clean tissue. -
Let scabbing/flaking happen naturally
Expect some peeling or scabbing—do not pick or peel it. -
Sleep on your back
Avoid pressure or friction on your brows during sleep.
❌ DON’Ts:
-
No water on brows
Avoid showers that cause steam or splashing. Cleanse your face with a washcloth, avoiding the brow area. -
Avoid makeup on brows
No brow makeup or skincare near the area until fully healed. -
No sun, tanning, or sweating
UV and sweat can affect healing and cause fading. -
Avoid exfoliants and active ingredients
No retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or scrubs near your brows for at least 4 weeks. -
Don't touch or scratch
Even if they itch or flake, leave them alone.
🗓️ After 2 Weeks:
-
The top layer of skin should be healed.
 -
Your brows may look lighter — this is normal! Color settles over 4–6 weeks.
 -
You’ll likely need a touch-up session at 6–8 weeks for best results.

💡 Long-Term Care:
-
Apply SPF on brows daily to prevent fading.
 -
Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, or exfoliation on brows.
 -
Expect to refresh the color every 1–2 years.
