Microneedling Aftercare
✅ FIRST 24–72 HOURS:
✔️ DO:
-
Keep skin clean and dry
-
Use only what your provider recommends (usually just a gentle cleanser and water).
 -
Avoid touching your face.

 -
 -
Moisturize with healing products
-
Use a calming, fragrance-free moisturizer or hyaluronic acid serum (no actives).
 -
Your provider may give you a post-procedure cream (e.g., Aquaphor, or similar).

 -
 -
Use SPF 30+ (after 24 hours)
-
Stay out of the sun for at least a week.
 -
Once you apply sunscreen, use mineral formulas (zinc oxide/titanium dioxide).

 -
 -
Stay hydrated
-
Drink plenty of water to support healing from within.

 -

❌ DON’T:
-
No makeup for 24–48 hours
-
It can cause irritation or infection.

 -
 -
No active skincare for 5–7 days
-
Avoid retinol, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, or exfoliants.

 -
 -
No sweating or heat
-
Avoid exercise, saunas, or hot showers for 24–48 hours (sweat can irritate or infect open channels).

 -
 -
Don’t touch, pick, or scratch
-
Even if your skin is itchy, flaky, or peeling, let it heal naturally.

 -
 -
No alcohol or spicy foods (24–48 hrs)
-
These can cause inflammation and increase redness.

 -

🗓️ HEALING TIMELINE:
| Day | What to Expect |
|---|---|
| 0–1 | Redness, sensitivity (like a sunburn), tightness |
| 2–3 | Slight flaking or dryness |
| 4–7 | Skin may still be sensitive, but healing continues |
| 7+ | You may start seeing improvement in tone, texture, and glow |
🔄 Post-Treatment Tips:
-
Sleep on a clean pillowcase (preferably silk or satin).
 -
Avoid alcohol and smoking — both slow healing.
 -
Microneedling is cumulative — results get better with each session (usually 3–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart).
